What is The Target Board?
A physical whiteboard kit paired with this website. You write your priorities on the board, save a photo of it here, and set reminders. When you tap a reminder, the website opens and shows that saved photo.
There is also a free digital board if you prefer to keep your list on screen.
What comes in the physical kit?
One 16 × 12 in (40 × 30 cm) physical whiteboard, 3 markers, 4 magnets and an eraser, plus access to the website’s photo-saving and reminder features. The kit is a one-time purchase of $29.99 USD, plus $1.99 shipping and any applicable sales tax.
The board’s height, materials and colours will be published once they are confirmed.
How does the website work with the physical board?
You photograph your board with your phone (or choose a photo you already took) and save it to your account. Your reminders then open that saved photo, so you see your own handwriting rather than a generic message.
Does the physical board sync automatically?
No. The website shows the photo you saved most recently. When you change what’s written on your board, take a new photo to update it — it only takes a few seconds.
How do reminders work?
In your dashboard you choose a time, which days, your time zone, and whether the reminder opens your digital board or your saved board photo. You then allow notifications in your browser. At the chosen time our server sends a web push notification to the devices you enabled.
Reminders are generic (“Tap to see the photo of your board”) and never include your tasks or your photo. You need to be signed in to view the page they open.
Do reminders work when the website is closed?
On supported browsers, yes: web push notifications are delivered by your browser and operating system even when the site isn’t open. They still depend on notification permission, your device’s focus or do-not-disturb settings, battery savers and a network connection, so we can’t promise delivery on every device.
On iPhone and iPad, web notifications require adding the site to your Home Screen first (iOS/iPadOS 16.4 or later) and opening it from there.
Does the product require a subscription?
No. The kit is a one-time purchase and the digital board is free. There is no mandatory subscription.
What is included in the free digital board?
With a free account you can add, edit, reorder, complete and delete tasks, and they are saved to your account. You can also set reminders that open your digital board.
You can try the board without an account; in that case your list is stored only in that browser on that device.
What devices and browsers are supported?
The website works in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile. Taking a photo uses your device camera or photo library.
Web push notifications work in current Chrome, Edge and Firefox on desktop and Android, in Safari on macOS, and on iPhone/iPad (iOS 16.4+) when the site is added to the Home Screen. Some browsers or private-browsing modes do not support them.
How are photographs stored?
Photos are stored in a private storage bucket that only your account can access. They are never given a public link; the site creates a short-lived signed link each time you view your photo. Before upload, your browser re-encodes the image, which also removes embedded location data.
How do I delete my photographs or my account?
You can delete your saved photo at any time from the photo page. You can delete your whole account from Account settings; this removes your tasks, photo, reminders and notification subscriptions. Order records may be kept where the law requires it for accounting or tax purposes, without being linked to your deleted account.
What are the shipping and return policies?
Shipping is $1.99 per order. Shipping regions, delivery times and the return window have not been finalised yet; they will be published on the Shipping & returns page before the kit goes on sale. Shipping and any applicable tax are shown in checkout before you pay.
